Sharing

Share!

We can look up all the scripture that records this word, here are just a few;

Exodus 12:4 If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat.

Numbers 18:20 The LORD said to Aaron, “You will have no inheritance in
their land, nor will you have any share among them; I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites.

1 Samuel 30:24 Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.”

Psalm 106:5 that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.

Proverbs 14:10 Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.

1 Corinthians 10:17 Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.

1 Thessalonians 2:8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

And there are many more.

As life develops and individuals find out more and more about themselves and their being in Christ; there’s an easy honesty that’s shared. A flow develops between each heart and community.

I left off with the last scripture 1 Thess. to emphasize that sometimes the details of our lives are in the exchange. In the exchange of sharing the gospel. Not for judgment or petty commenting or gossiping.

How God develops one life is going to be different than how another life develops, as we see from 1 Samuel 30:24, sharing is the same.

This Note taker is sitting in a new Pew. I’ve sat in Lutheran pews, Baptist pews, non-denominational pews, Methodist and Presbyterian Pews, I think some pseudo charismatic evangelical pew and even a virtual pew. During fellowship after the sermon, there is the same sharing.

And Notes has shared and will continue; as mylifeasaspiritist guest blogger (see January post) writes her 2011 intent is sharing, growing, becoming more like Jesus; let's take a look at sharing deeper in the fellowship of our lives, as the snow melts (at least in my region)~this note taker, pew sitter continues sharing a rich, full-flavorful life of love from the One Who gives eternal Life and Love.

In the spirit of sharing ~ share Notes with all that God inspires you to.

If you would like to or know anyone that would like to write as a guest blogger, send me a email submittal.

MY Life as a Spiritist

At the New Year in Winter, let us look forward to Gods Glory in 2011.

2011 will be a glorious year for me. Why? Because I expect it to be, and as I always say, we don’t usually get what we want, but what we expect (along with hard work of course). Where does this certainty come from? Well, from my everlasting and ever growing faith in the lord.

I asked God to lead me on the right path and to use me as his instrument this year. My intention for 2011 is to really give those around me my very best. It is to be a much better friend, to be a much more patient daughter, mother, wife, and human in general. I intent to work much harder on my inner-self. Where in previous years I’d pay more attention to my physical-self. Of course taking care of appearance and health is part of a healthy “whole”.

I believe however, that the goal is to strengthen my spirit and ultimately be able to imitate Jesus as closely as humanly possible. Do I have a long way to go? You bet! But like I said, I am developing a much closer relationship with God, and believe that he is in agreement with my resolution for 2011.

All of the most common resolutions will only happen as a result of a balanced inner-self. So I find it more difficult for me to try to accomplish anything before working on such. I think as a result of being someone kinder, more patient, and forgiving, it will all come much easier and naturally.

The biggest concern is that most people will have an “intent” or “resolution” but will fail to design a plan of action. Merely wishing or expending something to happen won’t work. If one’s intent is to lose weight, it’s also imperative to have a diet and exercise plan. If one’s intent is to quit smoking, it’s also imperative to have medical help, keep away from fellow smokers in action, avoid caffeine, etc. If one’s intent is to strengthen their finances, it’s useful to consult someone who’s capable of giving financial advice, to first pay off debts, design a financial worksheet, and explore what to prioritize in purchasing matters.

Lastly, since I intend to work on my inner-self, my plan is to start off with more prayer, by truly spending some time not only “reciting words” but by truly talking to God, and most importantly, listening to what he tells me. How does one “listen to God”? Well, I believe he speaks to us in many different ways, and if we seek truly to listen, one will be able to answer this question. We become so busy in our day-to-day life that we forget to “listen” to the silence, and I believe that’s when most of us have that “wow” moment where a thought is inspired to us (yes, I believe God speaks to us when we’re willing to listen). All in all, I’ll be beginning my challenge by speaking less, and listening more!

Meditative Walk

It's been the better part of 2010 that Notes has posted.

There's been prayers, long meditations, a 40 Day Soul Fast and uplifting messages from the pulpit, to share.

We'll come back in 2011 crossing over like Joshua (1:2); having taken possession Deuteronomy 1:21, 29.

Have a wonderful holiday, Merry Christmas.

This Little LIGHT of mine!

Psalm 104
Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great;you are clothed with splendor and majesty. He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind....

Don't know why this passage jumped out....continuing the Feb 3rd Kingdom of Light post discussing Avatar.

The brightness of God...the Light of God, Majestic!

The Na'vi people in the movie can link up, like "upload" to the earth. They forever connect to THE SOURCE.

We can "upload" to God through THE WORD, through prayer. Through living out each day by Gods' everlasting LOVE. And God through us will shine the lights through our lives.

Wrap yourself in Light as in a garment. Stay forever uploaded to God, through the Word. Live out each day as God wants.

Peace & Blessings.

The Book

We have to diverge from our follow up on the movie Avatar to Books.

I've read some great books lately... Not only The Book of Life; as you know from the book list below. Some new authors have put pen to paper or fingers to computer type for spreading the gospel.

Good thing too, we are richly blessed for these books and their divinely inspired authors. I'm adding this to the book list below - Jazz, Java and Jesus by Aleysha Proctor.

It's a wonderfully inspiring book. Ms. Proctors' perspective on scripture is soothing and encouraging, especially soothing with jazz sounds emanating from your cd or ipod player. And don't forget a big cup of coffee.

I love spreading the gospel giving out books I love, and this one I do. I've been giving out Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning for the last 5 years and now I will joyfully start giving out this one too.

Thank YOU LORD for your saints, sharing and spreading YOUR Light and Love.

Stop by Ms. Proctors' website and check it out. http://www.aleyshaproctor.com/page/page/4304798.htm
